I bought these boots 2 years ago and LOVED them, until the plastic tip on the heel broke off a few months later. Had them fixed. Then, about a year in to them (of only wearing them in the winter), the heel tip broke off again and b/c I wore them too long (I was on a business trip with limited shoes to chose from), the local shoe guy couldn't fix them anymore. I shipped to Cole Haan with a copy of the receipt from Amazon, demonstrating how old they were and they repaired them for free, which was great, or so I thought. Last Spring, one of the heels got wobbly. I can't recall if it's the one that Cole Haan fixed or the other one. they laid around all summer and I took them in to the local shoe guy for the 4th time and he sadly told me that it would be like $200 to fix them because he'd have to take so much of the heel apart. So, I drove home from the shoe guy and threw away the most expensive pair of footwear I've ever owned. They're like brand new on top and the heels are complete garbage. What a waste!These boots are great if you want something dressy with a comfortable heel. They fit over my large calves and the leather is beautiful.I love Cole Haan shoes, boots and handbags!
