Background info: I wish I would have researched a little more before I dropped a bunch of money on Cricut brand pens/markers because I already have TONS of nice pens that I love. After buying and testing several Cricut pens, I couldn't find a cricut glitter pen that worked as well as the ones I already owned. I was trying to make little Christmas gift boxes with a glittery pattern drawn on the cardstock. The Cricut pens just absorbed into the darker colored paper instead of leaving a nice metallic finish.I saw a TikTok video showing a "hack" that you could use any pen with the Cricut, so I tried pushing my glitter pen into the original adapter. I couldn't get it to lock, so I pushed it further in until I heard a cracking noise. I wound up damaging the adapter trying to force the pen in. (Lesson learned: Cricuts are built to last and work with a lot of different things, but you shouldn't have to force it, and if you do, it WILL break! ??♀️) Whenever I tried using my scoring stylus after, it popped out as soon as the Cricut pushed it down onto the paper. I also found my Cricut pens were a little loose which caused them to bleed when using smaller sized fonts.I found the replacement adapter on Cricut's website (Cricut Explore™ Accessory Adapter Replacement), but Amazon has damaged my patience forever with their lightning fast shipping, and I didn't want to wait for standard shipping ?.I stumbled upon this item while looking for Cricut's and took a chance based on the reviews. This was BETTER than expected. Not only does it have the originals bal adapter, I was able to find an adapter for my glitter pens, and there are doubles of everything! It comes with a handy chart that identifies the correct adapter for most popular brands of pens/markers. I found the pen that's most like my pens and tested the corresponding adapter. It worked perfectly!! (TIP: The original adapter pops out easily if you push up from the bottom after opening the clamp.)The price is cheaper than a pack of Cricut pens. If you already have pens you like, skip the Cricut ones and try these adapters first. You won't be disappointed!
