Until now. This thermometer is unbelievable for the money. It is well made and has so many features. Let's take a look at some. First, upon opening the box there were other items enclosed. There was an extra battery, Velcro feet that you could attach, also a small loop that you can use to carry or hang the thermometer up with. There are also two magnets built into the body so that it will attach to the refrigerator or stove so it is always handy. The stainless steel probe is also very sturdy and durable. It was long and easily inserted into any meat I was cooking.Most importantly, it has a really large number readout on the screen. This is what I needed because a majority of the ones I looked at had such small screen and were hard to read. I would really recommend this Digital Food Thermometer to any. Great price, great product and great deal.I have a multi-probe thermometer that I use for cooking bigger cuts of meat (love that), but it is inconvenient for me to pull it out to check smaller cuts or for "quick use." I bought this one based on the reviews and I am not disappointed at all. The unit turns on when you rotate the probe away from the body. Once inserted, it instantly shows you the temp. There's no need to wait for it to "rise" to the temp; you know within seconds. The Hold button keeps the temp on the screen once the probe is removed. Works great. I double and triple checked the readings by comparing temps to my other (way more expensive) set. It's spot on! Once you're done, rotate the probe back up against the body and it shuts off! Numbers are easy to read, backlit display...they even threw in an extra battery (CR2032). Extremely happy with this purchase.I’ll never go back to a regular thermometer! This thermometer is worth every penny. It’s makes dinner time easy (especially when cooking chicken)!This is an amazing father days gift or anyone that loves to cook.
