I am a mail carrier for the USPS. I am walking sometime up to 12 hours a day, six days a week. I wear these shoes constantly. After they are worn down, they still are wonderful garden shoes. While they are NOT USPS regulation shoes, my office looks the other way because the amount of work they allow me to accomplish. Although not water proof with the mesh upper around the top laces, the generous and stabilizing effect that the thick souls create it very comfortable on the feet! If its going to rain, I use my boots as a backup, but nothing beats these shoes. PLEASE DONT EVER DISCONTINUE THESE! I bought four pair so I have at least some for reserve in the event they are no longer available. Also, the pair will last at least a year for daily work use--a great value for the money!!!
