Since I got this microwave I’ve been using it nonstop! The ease and convenience of it doing multiple functions really shortens the time to make food. I have made potato gratin, steamed veggies, yams and other hard veggies, chicken, salmon, bbq ribs, rice, etc. You do have to get used to the cooking times requires and generally I undercooked the food just a tad and while it stands it finished cooking.Hands down this was faster than the oven and if you are only doing one oven dish this is the way to go.Some reviews complained about the microwave function being lower, and this is true. You need to cook food a little longer to get it super hot but we are talking about 30 secs so it’s really no big deal in my opinion.The combo oven is easy to operate and has useful presets, I use one of the settings daily. I have not used the air fryer function yet so cannot speak to that but I have regularly used the other functions and think they work well.It is pricey but if you need an applicable that shortens your time in the kitchen and gets the job done, this is it! Very happy with my purchase.Nice as a single 3 in 1 device. Air fryer capacity and results not as good as a dedicated unit.It’s a lot to take in at first; having never done convection cooking before. There is much more I need to learn about this machine. However, I am thoroughly enjoying it so far. Once you get the cooking time correct, fried, convection cooked, or microwaved, come out perfect. Cleanup is easy.Drawbacks? I wish Breville created an actual book about cooking in this machine. It comes with a couple of recipes, but it’s not enough. The instructions could be a little easier to read through all though the pamphlet is not hard to understand. it’s not meant to be a toaster, and there’s no easy way to do toast in this. And probably most important, be sure you have the right type and size of pants to get the most out of this machine. It comes with a rack, mostly used for convection cooking, and one pan with legs that you use during the air fry process. If you want to use your pan during the air fryer process do you have to use one or both of what’s included to get your pan close enough to the top heating element to do a fry. I’ll admit I have not worked that out yet since I’ve only had this device for two weeks. I have some pretty good pants for baking, but I’m still working out how I can use my pan for either the quick fry or the air frying process. Despite this, I’m having fun learning to use it. I’ll be sure to give an update to this review after I’ve used this for a while.It cooks reasonably well but it's getting you nowhere near "perfectly cooked" like all those raging reviews claim. It does all three things, convection, microwave, grill well - but none outstandingly well on its own, although the combination sometimes leads to surprising results.Microwave seems underpowered, takes almost twice as long as my cheap-o Panasonic to heat up a glass of milk.If you know how to cook, skip this and buy a real counter-top convection oven ("air fryer") for the occasional fries or even a good, actual convection oven. The latter one is what is going to give you "perfectly cooked" results.Nice design, especially how they hide all those rarely used buttons in the door recess for a cleaner look. Mechanically, the one big flaw is that the two turn knobs are not very grippy and have super coarse, inelegant haptics to them.Love that it has the air fryer, microwave and oven in one small space.
