I bought my 14 year old daughter a Size medium, Scarlett helmet and it is snug as it should be and comfortable on her head. I tried it on as well and it fits myself snug but comfortable as well. I feel like the adult medium is a great all around size for adults and children alike.Purchased this helmet for my son after he was hit by a pitch in the head causing a concussion (wearing a different name brand helmet). He plays club, middle school and legion and I have to say this helmet is comfortable and provides the protection necessary for his age group. My son is 14 and has been playing since he was 5 years old. With his 9 years of playing and my 10 years of coaching (ages 5-13u), we have purchased for our son and I have coached numerous teams and players who have purchased every Batter's Helmet you can think of. Without compensation, sponsorship, or in any way receiving any benefit except my son's and my players' safety, I will always recommend and look to Schutt Sports AiR Baseball BAtter's Helmets for my son and for those I coach. The gel padding underneath the foam padding along with the air vents make for a comfortable fit that provides the protection every parent should look for in a helmet.This helmet fit my petite 5 year old Grandson perfectly. Vey comfortable with plenty of padding also!I bought an XS for my 3 year old when she started playing T-ball. All of the other 3 or 4 year olds on the team have a 'too big' helmet that is bouncing around on their head and the padding doesn't touch where it's supposed to. This was the only helmet I could find that went small enough to fit right and it fits perfect. Sure, it likely won't fit her next year and I'll have to buy another but, at this price, I can afford that and I'd rather have something as important as her helmet fitting correctly. Next to the fit, it's also a great looking helmet. The orange is bright and shiny and, since her team colors are black and orange, it works out perfect. It also seems to breathe pretty well as I don't get any complaints about being hot while wearing it, even when sitting in the dugout waiting for 10 other batters to go. Will definitely be back for another when I need next years helmet.My son has a big head, and adult one size is usually a small/medium. Will keep for next year.My 12-year-old son outgrew his last Schutt baseball helmet after two years of use playing both league and tournament team which equates to 2-6 games, plus practices, each week. After going to the local sporting good stores with no luck finding a local Schutt retailer - or another make that was a good fit where the helmet wouldn't wiggle while running - I triple-measured his head circumference (21.25") and followed the sizing chart on the Schutt website an ordered a size Small helmet. It arrived promptly and fit perfectly with no "wiggle room".
