Easy to use. Lightweight, just the right size.The size is good for 2-3 people. The plastic of the body good. I like it more than other more expensive fryer.And you can close the door before the basket getting down in the oil .I gave 4 stars because the cable is easy to come out during frying and the oil becomes cold ( loose connection with the fryer without noticing it )Great deep fryerthe magnet for the power cord to the back of the unit does not hold connection very well, the unit may lose power when opening or closing the lid, or if the unit is moved slightly.We have used this about 5 times now.....giving it "another chance" each time. The oil does not seem to get hot enough even at the highest setting which is 375. Should be fine for fries and tater tots but they just don't fry right. How had this fryer had some higher settings like up to 450, maybe I could have fudged with it a bit. The finished fried product seem more heavy with oil which is a true indication that the oil is not hot enough. I didn't put a thermometer in there but I'm sure it isn't. I am outside my return window. I just wish they still made the one I have used for years by another brand which is discontinued. So my hunt will start again for a good replacement.Very disappointed with the deep fryer. First of all the description says its a 12 cup but the box says it's a 10.5 cup. The description also says the oil pan is removable but it is NOT!!! I bought this deep fryer because of that. You need to change the product description to what is on the actual box!!!Only downside is the fact that the tank is not removeable. I like this style much better than the ones that have the heating element right in the oil. This one heats from underneath.Doesn’t seem to get hot enough to work efficiently, but may be one of the safety features? I wanted it for foods that are batter dipped so wish would get a little warmer for chicken, etc.I like this deep fat fryer it is exactly what I was looking for. The basket is a bit small but it works. It has a charcoal filter that is easy to clean or replace. Very safe for indoor use. One thing I would recommend that the temperature settings should go to at least 400 to 450 Degrees and should have a timer it make it much more easer for timing purposes. It is well worth the money.The ad says its a 12 cup deep fryer and yet the box says its a 10.5 cup. The basket is far too small, there is no way you could do a family meal in that, it would have to be done in stages and I just dont have the time to do things in batches. Its going backI hate it, the oil is well below the basket and cooks one side of the wings I'm trying to deep fry! It's going back.Loved this fryer until the lid partially popped off on opening. It was fixed by my hubby, but it should not have happened.Magnetic plug makes a flimsy connection and the cord is far too short. Just popping the lid causes it to disconnect. Have returned it.
