Then find out what went wrong when the highly trained Italian Jet Team crashed during an air-show maneuver killing three pilots and 47 spectators. Could it have been avoided?
This DVD is pretty terrible.The "Italian Jet Team Collision" portion of the video is absolutely awful and totally deceptive.There is NO air collision on this segment of the DVD. Repeat: NO collision.All there is is this one amateur guy with a heavy accent, TALKING about a mid-air collision at an air show. And he talks about it only briefly, saying that it was a "bad accident" with a "bad outcome". And that's it.The rest of the segment is merely stock footage of the Italian Jet Team rehearsing and performing some aeronautical maneuvers -- but there is NO collision whatsoever. Just this average guy talking and talking about air shows.This is a totally misleading portion of the DVD, and it basically amounts to fraud, frankly.The other segment is a fictional portrayal of a POSSIBLE mid-air collision over south-east England. Actors portray pilots, air traffic controllers, paramedics, and so on. It is a totally made-up scenario of what MIGHT happen, and the potential consequences.It's also fairly low-budget, and it dwells excessively and unnecessarily on how the fictional air traffic controller becomes depressed and discouraged after the accident.Furthermore, since this segment of the DVD is over 25 years old, the so-called CGI special effects are anything but; in fact, they are weak, unconvincing, and primitive. And then they show these same low-budget and crude CGI effects over and over and over again. In other words, this segment is badly padded to extend the running time, and it becomes tedious and annoying pretty quickly.Frankly, this DVD is bound to badly disappoint anyone who watches it. And aircraft enthusiasts, historians, and special effects buffs will be particularly upset and dismayed by this badly produced video.
