Purchased this item to make my own Short RAM Intake for my 2006 Mazda MPV. This piece is compatible with the MAF sensor on my vehicle as the Amazon Part checker confirms. The only thing I wished is that it was Aluminum (like Spectre Performance 9405 3" Aluminum Mass Air Flow Sensor Kit) instead of ABS resin. I had also purchased the aluminum kit hoping that I might be able to use it, but unfortunately none of the adapters fit the Mazda MPV and the one that I needed with this 8705 kit do not have the same mounting screw pattern as the 9405 kit. In short, it does the job. Would have been 5 stars if it was aluminum.I created a custom air intake for my 07 Toyota Yaris using this piece here for my mass air flow sensor. At first it didn't work because my MAS was calibrated to read with a 2" diameter intake tube. What I did was place a 2" PVC pipe inside of this one drilled a hole for the MAS to fit through then filled the surrounding area between the PVC and this piece with great stuff foam to basically make it into a 2" diameter so that my MAS would read. This ended up not fitting the MAF sensor in my 2009 Pontiac Vibe 2.4L. I knew there might be a chance it wouldn't fit but it says it would fit most models of GM and Toyota, since the motor is off a Toyota Matrix. I ended up buying a $3 grommet and cutting it to fit the opening and sealing it with silicone. It will do the job, but i could of just bought a straight pipe and cut a hole to fit.Not good for first generation tundra, but probably okay for smaller tuner cars. Made out of easily damaged plastic I thought the description said chrome. I just threw it away after dry fitting and testing it. But I'll give the maker props for the gaskets and fittings it comes with, well put together and easy installation. It's just too generic for me, you can call it pride I guess.4 stars cause the entire assembly is durable plastic and not metal,. Doesn’t hinder functionality thoughIt's ok. It is made from plastic, the maf needs to be sealed well and it does ok as long as the screws stay in. I have since moved to a all aluminum tube. Good for street cars and guys with not a lot of cash. But really, save for an aluminum one.Not a good product, had two sensors tested, one went fine, but had an air leak because of the screws didn't tight well. Second from new Mazda 2016, sensor didn't fit for both screws. I will put 3 out of 5.ordered this product after triple checking that it fit my 03 duratech 24v engine. The "does this fit your vehicle" said it would fit. None of the three adapters fit the air meter. I was able to modify one of the pieces to make it work. on a possitive note, it was only $7! Just would have been better if actually fit without an hour of mods.Just got this in within 3-5 bis days came quick this adapter is used to use in conjunction with a aftermarket intake for your mass airflow senser to be relocated or used with the new pipe for example.....or even modifying the stock intake u have with this to.....just remember to use the adapters they work as intended for the vechiles it states I’m using it on a 2007 Ford Focus Sony special edition they came with a factory cold air intake basiclly the pipe goes right to the fog light basiclly which is dangerously low for a bad rain storm or driving in a puddle if yoyr intake sucks in water say by eating to your engine it will seize it I really hydrolock it in place I rather a short ram or ram air intake no worry of water going in the intake through the throttle body n manifold into the engine scary.....plus it needs a upgrade so get this part if u plan on doing a intake swap or upgrade worth the $$ all dayIt was supposed to fit my 2008 Ford Escape but it didn’t fit without filling some rectangular grooves... and then when i got my air flow sensor to fit I realized that the only holes the screws fit in would have the sensor facing sideways and blocking air flow... so then i had to file some grooves in the opposite direction to make it work but now there’s no holes for the screws to line up so I ended up having to duct tape the hell out of it to make it work and seal the holes... needless to say i am very disappointed in the product and would have returned it had i not filed down to get my rectangular sensor to fit... did I mention it’s made of very cheap plastic and probably won’t last the test of time!?!?!?For the money's worth, it is good but has flaws like stated in earlier reviews. The clamp is plastic and will not secure adapter to hose. A standard hose clamp and a flexible hose is needed. Made of chrome plated ABS plastic looks metal. Its a good thing as it keeps intake air cooler. Other than that the accessories supplied with adapter are more than needed for most vehicles. For Denso MAF sensors, its a fits perfect. Only time will tell how long will this last.Would buy again, when on sale. Similar products cost twice as much.Overall pleased with purchaseEL PRODUCTO ES DE PLASTICO AUNQUE SE APRECIA BUENO............EN MI CASO TUVE QUE REBAJAR LOS DOS EXTREMOS (TIENE UNOS BORDES) PARA PODER CONECTARLO EN EL DUCTO DE ENTRADA DE AIRE DE MI ECLIPSE 2011, ADEMAS DE QUE EN LA DESCRIPCION DICE UNIVERSAL Y NO LO ES, APLICA PARA CIERTOS VEHICULOS SOLAMENTE.....EL SENSOR DE FLUJO DE AIRE NO QUEDO NI CON LOS ADAPTADORES, POR LO QUE DECIDI PEGARLO UNICAMENTE CON SILICON Y ASI QUEDO TRABAJANDO.....AL FINAL ME SALIO MUCHO MAS BARATO QUE ENCONTRAR UNO ESPECIFICO PARA MI CARRO Y ESTA TRABAJANDO MUY BIEN CON EL FILTRO DE AIRE K&N QUE LE PUSE.I used this to temporarily hook up a MAF sensor in a 2007 Toyota Matrix for about a week. My sensor was bad although the car still ran with this setup although I definitely don't recommend it. The size of the tube isn't right for the MAF sensor's calibration in that particular car.Like I said, it will work if the size of the tube matches up with your MAF sensor's calibration although the material used for this product is pretty cheap, it doesn't feel solid.
