The OVPPH Portable Air Conditioner Fan is a small little form-factor fan... that's it. It's got a handle on the top side for easy portability, and two buttons - one to control the fan speed (three speeds) and one to turn on the ionizer. You can also hold down the ionizer button to turn on the small fan light. For the fan, it works pretty well. Temperatures here are reaching near 100 F, so with the fan on the max speed it does blow pretty strong air and I keep it trained on me at all times. It helps a lot!But when you take a look at the "conditioning" part of the fan, things start to get shaky. The fan is attached to a little pool, and you can freely slide the fan back and forth. The advertising says that you can fill the pool with cold water and small ice chunks to blow even cooler air out.I've tried this and it honestly doesn't feel like the ice makes a difference. I don't know if it's just that hot, but the air feels the same. The inner cage of the fan has a bunch of plastic brackets, and within them are cloth sheets that are supposed to soak up the cold water and blow it out the fans, but it doesn't seem to work that well.As for the ionizer... well, I can't really test it as you can probably guess. I leave it on just in case to see if it will help with the air quality, but who knows. In the end, it's a decent fan with good portability thanks to its rechargeable battery through USB-C, but for $40-50 you are much better off investing in a much more powerful fan.I purchased for cooling and portability. Cons: it is only as cool as the ice stays frozen. The ability to work without direct power after a full two day charge was less then an hour; I would put it on full strength so as to get that "iced" cool and it would slow its speed down and eventually shut off. The water tray while adjustable front to back it does not seal, so it will spill if not on flat surface.Pros: You can barely hear it at full speed. Compact and portable. Its perfect for small spaces w/direct cord power plugged in w/ back up ice to for water tray. The filter would be best if it was filtered water to keep the filter cleaner longer. No leakage. Easy instructions. You could use this perfect for RVs, Camping Trailers, vehicles when parked as long as you are able to charge it safely and not be moving(water tray is not spill proof).Worth thee price? no this should have been closer to the $20, rather then the $50 price range. Is worth it for the compact/portability? Yes.This is a fan and nothing more. I placed this about 2 feet from me and of course I could feel a breeze, but nothing more ? I tried placing ice and cold water in the front compartment and nothing changed.Well since I paid for it, I decided to keep it. I used the box it came in after wrapping with foil paper to provide a holding area for ice-cube gels. The ice cube gels cost about about $3 each. I stacked 3 gels in the box placed the fan in front of the gels and dropped a 4th gel in the front compartment of the fan. With this contraption I was able to bring down the temperature in my very hot walk-in closet by 5 degrees !At first, I was not impressed with this product. It is much smaller then I thot. (Always read the dimensions) There is no way to plug it into electricity. Directions are not easy to read but then I realized this would be perfect for power outages or other situations. The battery is rechargeable and lasts a few hours. You place water and ice into the chamber and it blows a small amount of cool-ish air. I use it on my desk and keep it plugged into the computer, for continuous use. It certainly will not work to cool and entire room, as suggested. For camping? If you have ice and power, it might be slightly helpful?Lasts for about 3 hours. I use it to help keep my laptop cool during the summer in our unconditioned apartment. By itself it doesn't do much. I also have to run a regular fan beside it. I wouldn't even bother using it to cool a person. I don't see how it could help you sleep, since it's dead so quickly. I have to put it on the highest setting and put ice in the little water bowl, just to keep my laptop cool.I bought the unit to take on vacation, and had it on the bedside table. I tried it out with water, just ice and both. It worked best with ice and water. The problem is, it stopped working on the third night (using it for no more than 3-4 hours at a time). I believe this unit may have been used as well, even though it was listed as new, because the box was torn as if someone opened it and put packing tape on it. It also made whining noise when plugged in and on high. The instructions are also VERY hard to understand, not explaining anything except what the buttons do. The instructions should include what the buttons are for and WHY you would use each one AND in clear ENGLISH! I would not recommend this item. You can get the same benefit by purchasing a small ceramic fan/heater and putting a bowl of ice in front of it!!! I am returning this unit.I bought this portable air conditioner 3 days ago for 35$. I love the item itself, and I’ve been recommending to friends. It’s definitwly more of a one person unit. Works without being plugged in for almost 3 hours. Super portable and blows cold air. But then I saw that they raised the price to 50$. It’s too small to be worth that much. I do not recommend purchasing for any more than 35$.I really liked this fan because it does exactly as described. It’s very compact and easy to use. I set it up with three minutes. It had 3 levels, I always leave it at the highest level while I sleep and it keeps cool through out the night, sometimes even becoming a bit too cold. One thing i wish was different was the back part where you drop the ice, it is too small and not much ice fits in there.
