I bought this for a third floor office where the radiator and room was always cold. With the furnace on, going up by 1degree F, the radiator never got warm. It would only get warm when the furnace had to heat the house at least 2-3 degrees more.Eventually I decided to buy this valve as I knew it could be adjusted with a bigger opening to let more air out so the steam would come up to my radiator. Works like a charm! Easy to adjust and my radiator is always warm whenever the furnace goes on. I would buy again to try to resolve other rooms on the second floor that are far from the furnace and often colder than other rooms. All the radiator valves in my house are Hoffman, this is reliable brand.
