We recommend vegetable oil as it has a high smoke point - the temperature which it begins burning - but canola and peanut oil are suitable too. For lower temperature frying there are a wider range of suitable oils. How long does the oil take to heat up? It can take between 5 - 15 minutes depending on the desired temperature but don't worry, we put a helpful indicator light that lets you know when it's ready to fry. Can I reuse the oil? You can reuse cooking oil. The number of times depends on the oil and what you are frying. We recommend doing some research into how you can save costs by reusing oil.
