Also, I noticed the replacement product I purchased seemed to be of much better quality. Perhaps, I just got a defective product the first time. I highly recommend this item.Original Review:The technology is great. This is so much better than the original valve that came with the Sta-Rite Filter. I love the way you simply rotate the housing a quarter turn counter-clockwise to release air.Unfortunately, after about two months of use, I began noticing water. Then just today I turned it on and water was streaming out of the plastic housing just above the o-ring. It was unusable. I turned off the pump and inspected and found that the housing was simply cracking; it is very flimsy plastic.Apparently, it is now out of warranty. I may contact the company directly and see if they will support their products after two years. I was able to fix the problem, at least temporarily by supergluing the cracks.I had to spend another $21.00 and re-ordered without the gauge. I can't chance having my pump not running during these hot days.If they company will come to my rescue and help me out, I will upgrade my rating accordingly.
