Excellent at noise reduction without sacrificing performance. It's a HUGE improvement over other small compressors I have owned. This is very portable, builds pressure fast and does the job. Perfect for stapler, brad or finishing nail guns, or inflating smaller tires. I have yet to try it on my framing nail gun but I would guess it could handle the job as well. Very please!I bought this as a gift for my son, who wanted to start airbrushing as a hobby.I was very surprised at how quiet this compressor is. And I mean VERY surprised. On start-up, it doesn't even startle our very jumpy cat.The build quality seems above average, as it holds pressure when turned off for an hour, or so.I'm considering buying one for my airbrush set-up. This seems better suited to the task than the "airbrush compressor" I have now.Quiet, portable, and affordable.Great pump for light projects in the garage. I primarily use mine for seating and inflating motorcycle and bicycle tires, but also for cleaning and dusting. No complaints so far.If you are looking for an air compressor that wont break the bank, and you want to be able to hear yourself think - get it. Don't get this if you are looking for something so silent that you can barely hear. Those run $600-1000, search for a silent lab air compressor if that is your goal.First the packaging. Came in a sturdy box well guarded inside with packing. No issues right out of the box. Easy to use regulator with a working gauges that are actually pretty close to perfect. From the floor up about half way on my shin is the height footprint. Normal feet apart stance is about the width. A large shoe is how deep it is front to back. The handle was actually in a good spot for what I needed to do and get it n a tight spot. It is about conversation loud/noise. Not yelling-just normal. A long enough power cord that it did not have to sit right on top of an outlet. Combine a quick connect type hose that plugs i to the air delivery hole and you have air at your command. It is not meant for large air tool. No way could it keep up. But a few short blast of air to blow off a work bench-perfect. The price is right, the noise level is great, the air delivery is easy and typical air connections, electrical needs are nothing special-just a 120 volt three prong outlet. It fits in most spots with room to spare (if you need an air compressor-they are usually not a small piece of equipment)I would buy this again and again and againnoize is Low, Very happy with this tool.Quite, powerful and well built.My only gripe is I can't dial it in for 20 psi or less.Nice small quite unit..but mine wouldn't build pressure..so sending back to get a new oneThis product astounded me! They are promoted as a quiet compressor but I was not expecting how understated their claim was. You can talk at normal volume over this when it is running. At $129 it is a purchase I feel very good about. This is the 5th air compressor I have purchased but it is my first from California Air Tools and I am really impressed.My old, comparably small compressor stopped working and now I am glad it did! When my old compressor kicked in you just couldn't wait for it to stop. I am sure my neighbors could hear it. This thing is so unbelievably quiet! If its durability lives up to my initial impression I could give no better advice than if you are looking for a small compressor you should not be disappointed with this nice little unit!Any company that puts together such a nice product and can deliver it to your door for such a price is really a great find in today's market.Amazingly quiet. (Make sure you put the muffler air filter on... pretty quiet even without it, but what a difference when it is installed). Pretty small though I wish the handle is removable for even lower profile, and the pressure valve is the pull-to-adjust, push-to-lock type. Very satisfy right from the start, the next is it’s longevity. :)Quickly fill from 0-125psi, then stops. Leaks air gradually and then hold steady at 8KG/cm2 for 12min and counting. Looking good I’d say.I’d give full stars if the unit is made same dimension as the smallest measure for people with limited storage space. (Shrink the handle/protection cage further)Afterthoughts: (few uses after)Still great and quiet unit. Perfect for condo users. But if space is not a concern, get a bigger tank unit. I use it as air blower to clean dust off equipment and it lasts only briefly on continuous blowing. (But footprint is a concern for me so I have to adjust). I left 90psi in the tank over night intentionally and after 10 hours it is still the same. Very satisfied.I mostly bought this compressor for cleaning my pellet stoves and computers(with pressure dialed down), as the compressed air dusters run out of pressure really fast and are expensive. So I ordered an air kit to go with the compressor. The compressor works great and fills up very quickly. It is surprisingly quiet, not like those pancake compressors which sound like a jackhammer.I was a little worried about the quick connect air hose attachment on the compressor-the release ring looked like it was stuck. I thought I might have to replace it, but as soon as I plugged in a male quick connect fitting, it popped securely in place. This compressor is very well designed with quality craftmanship. The compressor has no where near the power of my Campbell Hausfeld 5HP 26 Gallon compressor, but it will come in handy for cleaning, and is definitely more portable than my big brute, lol!I love this thing!I bought this because many of the reviews said it was quiet. They were not kidding. You can plug it in, turn it on and have a conversation in the same room. You have to raise your voices a bit, but you certainly don’t need to shout. One review said to make sure you install the “muffler”. It is just a small piece of plastic tubing you stick on the inlet filter. As quiet as this thing is without that, it gets quieter with that small tubing installed. If you hate loud compressors and don’t need a ton of compressed air, buy one of these. No sé si se pueda conectar un tanque adicional más grande, eso dependerá del ciclo de trabajo del compresor, hasta el momento he barnizado una puerta de madera cuya superficie es mayormente vidrio y el esqueleto de madera, me funcionó de maravilla pero si noté un decremento de presión al finalizar cada capa.
