When my fit and healthy Mother-In-Law became pre-diabetic years that was devastating. Fast forward to me going Vegan (3yrs ago) and getting an Air Fryer 2yrs ago and I feel closely linked to much of what this book is about.1000 Recipes! your basic, intermediate, advanced and just fanciful fare… almost too many things to consider and needs a random generator to help you “pick a show already” am I right?Given the use of whole/fresh ingredients (or unknown quantities of eggs/meat weight based factors) there is a lot of “about 5 minutes” or “until you think it’s… enough…” instruction which can be hard for a new chef to feel confident or replicate their efforts without taking notes. I often find my self making notes to use the ‘next time’ and then losing or misplacing them and when I go back I remember “something was off” but can’t recall where I made changes or wish I had.I liked the ability to prep, cook and clean one device, and if cooking in an office space (which I do) this allows a LOT of versatility and minimal interruption to the steady flow of microwavers in our office floor kitchen.I also liked the liberal addition of “comfort foods” that will help some people ‘stick to the eating protocol’ (the word Diet is a hard one for me to use with confidence it will be maintained), plenty of desserts, breakfast yummies and snacks. Not just dozens of salads and your standard Avocado toast and stews (but there are plenty of those…it’s 1,000 recipes don’t forget).Organization seemed like one never-ending but makes sense overall and stays true until the end. 5 week meal plan designed to go past the typical 4 week or 30 days as advertised… clever move.
