My husband loves this mattress topper. For over 2 years we have been dealing with an expensive new king latex mattress that was so firm on the “medium” side that we were sore getting up. We have tried every foam and gel mattress topper available but our latex mattress has sunk so much the toppers also sink which cause us to wake up sore. We both weigh under 200 lbs . We have had 3 toppers on our bed at same time but they would still sink. I finally got a My Pillow topper and it has not sunk and helps me but my husband needed something softer. This air mattress on my husband’s side of the bed does not sink on top of the My Pillow topper and provides the softer feel. Finally,he is able to get a good sleep.The alternating pressure reducing mattress came in a very timely manner and installed very easily. In the relatively brief time that I've used it, I found it to be comfortable and very efficient. I have experienced no red areas on normally very sensitive regions and I am able to live in one position for much longer without having to be turned. The motor is extremely quiet in the hose and chord lengths are more than sufficient. I also appreciate the fact that they sent some patches in case of leaks. I use a bed that can raise the head and feet up, but I find that does not interfere with the function of the mattress. I would highly recommend this product.I've been a t-6 paraplegic since 1974 and became subject to pressure sores as I got older and got diagnosed. I purchased this on a whim because it was cheap and I knew I could return it if the air pump was too loud. Surprisingly, the air pump really is whisper quiet and it's effective! You can hear a soft hum from the mattress overlay through the pillow when you lay down. It was so much quieter than an alternating air mattress that I had to use after I had a skin flap done and had to stay in bed at home for three months. That air mattress was so loud, that I had to crank up my TV to the chagrin of my poor wife. I agree that this mattress can be super hard like others have said, so I keep it at just over 1 and it works for me.Vaunn Medical Cloud Air Whisper Quiet Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Topper with Pump Twin: Bought this for my Mom. One of the caregivers had seen it used at another clients home. Supposed to be good for bed bound patients. It helps prevent bed sores by alternating mattress cells. We still turn my Mom using wedges but this mattress seems to do exactly why I bought it..for preventing bed sores & to help keep her back side cooler. By the way, it is quite & the motor unit hangs at the foot or side of her hospital bed.Bought for my mom, who is bedbound. Has improved her comfort, and helped to prevent bedsores. Nice and quiet. Super fast and easy to set up.It has extra material at the head and foot that tucks under the mattress to keep it from shifting. My dad had a similar one15 years ago, when these were super expensive because they were still a newer concept. His was over $400. The price for this was much better, and definitely a great deal.I ordered this Vaunn Medical Cloud Air Whisper Quiet Alternating Air Pressure Mattress Topper for my elderly dad to help ensure his comfort. I was a little hesitant to order it because the price was to great for an air mattress topper with an adjustable electric pump! We previously had the manual one for over a year but somehow it developed a slow leak. This one fits perfectly, sturdy, makes very little white-noise, easy setup, and we can adjust how hard or soft we want it to be! Great value for the money!I have very bad degenerative disk disease and this is the best comfort I have found in years. Do not use a thick cover over product or you will be hot. I use a thin cotton mattress cover and a sheet. You have to let the air to circulate through the depressions between the inflated areas so you stay cool.Worked fabulously for our bed ridden parent who did not want to change positions!! Had no skin breakdown!! Also used for comfort; having hips& shoulders replaced~ this takes pressure off and getting more restful sleep ?. Worth the purchase; have two!!Air Pressure Mattress Topper arrived very quickly and I was keen to put it on my bed and give it a test drive. To my disappointment, pump is 110v only, not a pump that accepts a wide voltage like some, 110v to 240v. I got online and ordered a 1000w step down transformer $50 and I guess I'll just wait another 10 days to enjoy this mattress. 3 stars for not working in Australia and not indicating this and it's long, really long, at least another ft sticks out from db sized bed, not including flaps your meant to fold under mattress. This could be a great product, just be open and truthful in description.Edit; Gave another star because it works so good after getting step down transformer and finally getting a good nights sleep. Just order a step down transformer no less than 1000watts at the same time as ordering this air mattress. Still works out cheaper than ordering one from Australia.Purchased from Amazon Australia As i live in Australia contacted Amazon twice to make sure would work here both times assured would and sent link for adapter after first one motor stopped. Second one using adapter recommended same happened. Amazon should not sell these things if unable to give accurate info being will not work in Australia
