As a former Helicopter Pilot who flew In Viet Nam, Mr. Crew put me right back in the cockpit. His portrayal of social events "club life" and entertainment "bands" was right on as I remember. All that was lacking was the smells of open cooking fires and lack of sanitary facilities. The mission events kept me guessing through the entire book.
